Pakistan is a country which has spectacular tourist attractions and lots of natural beauty. Tourists love exploring the beautiful mountains, the valleys, the picturesque villages and the snow covered peaks in the North; however, even if you think you’ve seen majority of the tourist attractions, you are still missing out on a lot! There are multiple places that are still left undiscovered and unexplored.
One such beautiful place is Shakkai valley, located in the district of South Waziristan, KP. This valley, with a population of around 70,000 people has recently been given the status of a tehsil. It is at some 33 kilometers north of Wana. Prreviously, Waziristan has been considered as an unsafe place for tourists but the current Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) government has given lots of importance to tourism and has led people to explore the beauty on this side of Pakistan as well.
Prime Minister, Imran Khan, along with Jemima Khan, visited Shakkai in 1995; back then not many people had even heard of this valley! But now, with the growth in our tourism sector, Shakkai is gaining popularity among the nature lovers.
The best part about this valley is that it is a must visit place in all the seasons; in winters, you can enjoy the beautiful snow-capped mountain, beautiful valleys and water fountains while in summers, it becomes the favorite destinations for tourists due to its greenery, plains and lush green meadows.
