There is good news for the tourism industry of Pakistan; British High Commission has marked Pakistan a safe place to travel to in their latest travel advisory report. The credit to this goes to Pakistan’s improved security situation; the advisory report also includes a comprehensive analysis of Pakistan’s security situation as well.
In addition to this, UK has also changed its travel advices for Pakistan after 5 years! It now allows their citizens to travel to the North of Pakistan by road up to Kailash and Bamboret Valley. The British High Commission reduced travel restrictions on the full route from Islamabad to Gilgit. UK visitors can now travel on Karakoram Highway but can bypass the section from Mansehra to Chillas and can take the route from Kaghan Valley and Babusar Pass. However, they have maintained a strict travel restriction on KP and Balochistan. This decision and advice has greatly been influenced by the five-day high-profile maiden visit of the royal couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton to Pakistan.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, has expressed his appreciation and gratitude at this latest travel advice by the British High Commission. He shared his views on this official twitter account as well.
