If you didn’t know already, HOME1947 is a deeply personal exploration of the stories of the lives of millions of people that were displaced in 1947 due to the separation of the Subcontinent and creation of two new independent states, Pakistan and India. It is a series of 7 short films that have been conceptualized and produced by SOC films. This series recreates the long-lost sights and sounds what these millions of people once called their home; it explores the world through the eyes of those who lived through the independence, and not through the words of historians and politicians.
Zameen, the third film in this series, tells the story of a refugee who has one foot in the world of his mother and one in the world of his mother. It is the story of a boy of how he finds his home when he left a part of himself behind.
